Abba Skate Club update Tuesday Nov.10/09

Well, this past month has been excellent! We have had two Core group gatherings along with our regular scheduled club times. God is teaching and raising up these young men to be leaders in the skateboard culture and abroad. Recently, an individual has asked Jesus into his life and is experiencing the blessings of relationship with the Almighty. He said that, “I’m praying and then exactly what I pray happens in the same day.” Wow, that gets me excited! It was also great to see my co-worker in the faith, Johnny Long, take the bull by the horns and share a an inspirational word with His peers at club last week. It took the weight off my shoulders and gave me a cause for celebration because I see the younger guys are starting to enlist and take up their positions in God’s army.

We are also thankful for the new ramps we received this year, they have been a hit. It’s a total gift from God that we got these ramps  for free! Estimated worth is about $3000! What a great way for God to show his love to the guys in Mission; with top notch skateboard obstacles.

There is so much potential in the young skaters of Mission; and Abba Skates is perfectly positioned to draw it out as we continually make our presence felt. Discipleship is not a one night stand! We are in it for the long haul; and as time moves forward these young men will mature and be equipped to change their city and nation.
