Healing Breakout on the Streets of Bellingham!

Our God is an awesome God! I have good news to report today!

Every so often we will lead a group of Lynden (Christian Reformed Church) youth group kids around the downtown area of Bellingham to get a taste of what life is like for people living on the street. The last few times we started doing Treasure Hunts (a form of prophetic evangelism) with them and on this last one, God really out did Himself! We had a couple friends (Mike and Jared) from Eastgate church (Abbotsford, CA) to join us and help lead the Treasure hunt as well.

So the evening of Wednesday, October 28 started off really well as Mitch, Mike, Jared and I sat around and talked about the plan for the night. Mike and Jared shared some testimonies about the healings that were taking place up in Abbotsford, most notably peoples legs growing out or backs/hips coming back into alignment (which can make your legs appear to be different lengths...). So we decided to see if i needed an adjustment and i did! So we prayed and watched as God brought me back into alignment (i was off about 1/4 inch or so). Then i mentioned that i hurt my knee that week, and God healed that as well! The night was just beginning! Praise God! The kids were really open to hearing from the Lord and the Treasure hunt and things went well as we had many great reports!

Maybe i will summarize:
- one group had a "shooting pain" on their map and found a man that had been literally shot in the knee! So the group asked if they could pray for him and his attitude was like thanks, but its been hurting for over 10 years so thanks anyway... the group believing God wanted to do something asked him to start moving it around because God wanted to heal him! And sure enough he started moving it around and said that the pain was gone! Praise Jesus!
- the youth group brought about 20 bags of groceries to bless the people at Lincoln square apartments (who usually have no food at the end of the month...)
- One homeless man wanted to be delivered of alcoholism as the group talked to him and they got to pray for him right there!
- another homeless man had knee problems and was healed
- another man who we are friends with had his leg grow out about 3/4", he was born with one leg shorter than the other and always had back problems and the doctors couldn't do anything for Him... this one was probably the most amazing one of the night as all 20 or so youth gathered around to watch first hand as God grew his leg out! I personally watched it happen about 1 foot in front of my face (i had a close-up!). He also had one thumb that was shorter than the other and God decided that He wanted to heal that as well! Isn't God amazing?!!
- another friend of ours had serious back pain/nerve damage in his back and reached down and touched his toes for the first time in years as we had the kids gather around him and pray!
- i also got the privilege of praying for a young man that was struggling with a drinking problem and wanted to be set free, so we prayed, and i just talked to him 4 days later and he said he has had NO craving for it since!!! God is so amazing!!!

The youth group came to our Sunday night Jesus Gathering this week as well and apparently the group almost doubled in size since Wednesday as the reports of healing were given at Lynden Christian High School chapel!!! Isn't that awesome! These kids are hungry for the reality of Jesus!

Lift up your heads, revival is upon us, God is here!  =)
